This subject describes the skills and knowledge required to lead diversity for a work area. It covers implementing the organisation's diversity policy, fostering diversity within the work team and promoting the benefits of a diverse workplace. It applies to individuals who direct the work of others in teams.
Awarded on completion of the subject requirements, validated by eVersity Online Campus. PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE — the participant demonstrated the ability to: Apply and critically assess workplace diversity policies; implement strategies that highlight and respect the benefits of diversity within the team; and apply procedures for addressing complaints or harassment so the workplace stays safe and respectful. KNOWLEDGE EVIDENCE — the participant was able to: Explain formal and informal processes for addressing workplace complaints; identify key aspects of legislation against age, sex, disability and racial discrimination; and outline the principles of human rights and equal opportunity law as they apply at work. Status: non-accredited. This subject is aligned to Australian units of competency.
