What this credential certifies
This subject describes the skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol. It applies to any workplace where alcohol is sold or served, including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries under state and territory liquor licensing law within Australia.
Awarded on completion of the subject requirements, validated by eVersity Online Campus. PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE — the participant demonstrated the ability to: Follow legal requirements for the responsible sale or service of alcohol under the applicable state or territory law, including legal drinking age, hours of operation, responsible service practices and the consequences of non-compliance; accurately recognise indicators of intoxication; and apply refusal-of-service and house procedures. KNOWLEDGE EVIDENCE — the participant was able to: Explain the public health and safety rationale for responsible service; identify what constitutes a standard drink across beverage types; and describe appropriate, non-confrontational means of assistance where erratic drinking patterns are identified. Status: non-accredited. This subject is aligned to Australian units of competency. The credential records completion of the subject and is issued by eVersity Online Campus; it is not an Australian statutory training qualification.
