What this credential certifies
This subject describes the skills and knowledge required to research, access and interpret regulatory and industry information, determine the scope of compliance for a business operation, and develop, implement and review the policies and practices that follow from it. It applies across the tourism, hospitality and event sectors.
Awarded on completion of the subject requirements, validated by eVersity Online Campus. PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE — the participant demonstrated the ability to: Access and interpret regulatory information to determine the scope of compliance required; translate regulatory requirements into clear policies and procedures spanning work health and safety, customer service standards, data protection and employee rights; and integrate compliance measures into business planning with documented evidence. KNOWLEDGE EVIDENCE — the participant was able to: Explain the roles and procedures of the relevant regulatory authorities in the tourism, hospitality and event industries, including inspection, audit and enforcement; and describe the objectives and key components of the laws, codes, standards and licensing requirements that affect operators in these industries. Status: non-accredited. This subject is aligned to Australian units of competency.
